William A. Rusher, originally a Wall Street lawyer, served in 1956-57 as associate counsel to the Senate’s Internal Security Subcommittee. He then became the publisher of National Review for thirty-one years. Since 1989 he has been a distinguished fellow of the Claremount Institute.
