A nation must think before it acts.

We are entering a new age of mass migrations - one caused by climate change, failing economies, destabilizing governments, and disruptive technologies. This new age will scatter both the dispossessed and the well-off. Which areas will people abandon and where will they resettle? Which countries will accept or reject them? As today’s world population, which includes four billion restless youth, votes with their feet, what map of human geography will emerge? In this month's People, Politics, and Prose, author Parag Khanna will join FPRI's Ronald J. Granieri to discuss his new book, Move: The Forces Uprooting Us.
People, Politics, and Prose with Ron Granieri features in-depth conversations with authors of recent books on international affairs and national security. Moderated by FPRI’s Ronald J. Granieri, each session will build on the book’s contents to discuss the author’s influences and motivations, relating everything to current events to elicit a broader understanding of the geographical, political, and historical context of our contemporary world.
