Charting the Future: US-Taiwan Relations After the 2024 Election

December 11, 2024 | 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm | Asia Program

About the Event

Following the 2024 U.S. elections, the future of US-Taiwan relations is at a critical juncture, with significant implications for security and diplomacy in the Indo-Pacific. This event brings together leading experts to examine how the election outcomes could impact US policy toward Taiwan, including defense commitments, economic partnerships, and diplomatic strategies. Our panelists will explore how shifts in US political leadership may affect Taiwan’s position in the broader context of US-China relations, regional alliances, and the balance of power in the Asia-Pacific. Through the discussion, we aim to provide a deeper understanding of the stakes at play for Taiwan’s security in the wake of the election. Join us for an engaging evening as we navigate the intersection of US domestic politics and Taiwan’s future on the global stage.
