Zhanna L. Malekos Smith, JD, is a senior associate with the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC, in the Aerospace Security Project and Strategic Technologies Program. She is also a cyber law and policy fellow with the Army Cyber Institute and affiliate faculty with the Modern War Institute at the US Military Academy at West Point. Previously, she was an assistant professor in the Systems Engineering Department at West Point and a professor of cyber warfare studies with the US Air War College.
