March 27, 2025 | 10:30 am to 11:30 am | Africa Program
What has been the everyday impact of President Trump's initial 60 days of foreign policy decision making on newsrooms in Africa, Europe, and North America? FPRI trustee and chair of the Africa Program, Ambassador (ret) Charles Ray hosts a panel discussion to explore this question from the perspective of newspaper editors located in Africa, Europe, and North America. The panelists will share their insights on how the abrupt policy shifts of the new administration have impacted commentary and reporting in their newsrooms. The panel discussion will be moderated by FPRI non-resident senior fellow Michael Walsh, who will be joined by managing editors of major English language newspapers in Luxembourg, South Africa, and the U.S. battleground state of
Pennsylvania.
