A nation must think before it acts.

February 05, 2026 | 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm | National Security Program
The security situation in Europe has changed considerably, following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, concerns about the war spilling over the border, and seismic shifts in how the United States views its role as the guarantor of European security. How is the German government responding to these changes? How does Berlin view its future security environment? And how is Germany going about rearming?
The Foreign Policy Research Institute and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung are pleased to host Mr. Roland Theis, a Member of the German Bundestag (CDU/CSU) and a member of the Defense Committee, for a moderated discussion about these issues and more.
